Growing Up | Petaluma, Ca {Becka Lynn Photography}

A little over a week ago I made a quick trip back to Northern California and had a chance to meet up with a dear friend for a mini session over in one of my favorite locations, Old Downtown Petaluma.

It was a little over 3 years ago when we first met for family photos. Although over the years we have stayed in close touch and developed a friendship, one thing or another has prevented us from getting together again for family photos, be it schedule conflicts, illness or my moving to Minnesota. Luckily Becka Lynn Photography has a way of bringing back to NorCal quite often and this time our schedules worked out so we were able to FINALLY have another session together.

One of the best parts of my job is seeing families grow and change. As I was looking through the photos from 3 years ago, I am amazed how much these two have grown up.

Senior: Danny {Class of 2012} | Rohnert Park, Ca

Catching up on my blog again and finally sharing photos from Danny’s session down in Santa Rosa down by Railroad Square.
There is this really cool shell of a building down on the other side of the tracks that I love going to and each visit is so different. At first glance most folks will say it looks like a dump but I happen to think otherwise =)

Siblings: Keayana + Keaton | Santa Rosa, CA {Becka Lynn Photography}

Precious little Keayana just turned 5 months old when we got together with her bother Keaton for their session in downtown Santa Rosa, CA. I am always amazed how much little ones grow up and change in such a short time. Last time I saw Keayana she was just 11 days old and now look at her, she is a perfect little doll ♥

eSession: Jamie + Vern | Bodega Bay, CA {Becka Lynn Photography}

Super fun eSession with Jamie + Vern. It was an absolute blast despite the weather being difficult. The coast was cold and windy but we managed to find a perfect spot. Only took us an hour driving up and down the coast LOL Can’t wait for the wedding. If its anything like our day, the wedding day is going to go down in the record books under extreme fun.

♥ Instant favorite ♥

Jamie and Vern brought their two dogs with them for their session. I swear there was no staging here. These two were just too cute.

Oh how I miss the California

I can’t wait to see these two (four) in a few months when I am back in California for their wedding.

Model: Monse | Santa Rosa, Ca {Becky Moen Photography}

It was so much fun working with one of my favorite models for a spur of the moment session out at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. I had been there once before but never really got a good chance to explore so it was so awesome to find so many different natural backdrops throughout the park. We arrived at the perfect time to have fun playing with the light as the sun set behind the ridge.

Best Friends | Santa Rosa, Ca {Becka Lynn Photography}

I had a chance to meet with these 2 beautiful young ladies for a special best friend photoshoot at one of my favorite locations in Santa Rosa. Best friends have a special bond that sometimes is as close as being sisters. These two were a hoot to hang out with and we all had a great time.

My awesome stylist Stephanie did hair and make-up for both girls.

Fire Station Birthday Party | Windsor, CA {Becka Lynn Photography}

Now how totally cool is it to have a little boy’s birthday party at a fire station? I don’t know about you but I happen to think its pretty dang awesome. OK so I will admit I have never set foot into a fire station before and this was my first time being up close and person with a real fire truck so I was a tad bit excited.

One of my favorite little guys just celebrated his 3rd birthday and clearly had a grand time hanging out with the big trucks at the Windsor Fire Department.

He looks so tiny as he is climbing into the truck

Can you tell he is a huge Cars fan? 🙂

Mi Familia 2011 | Santa Rosa, CA {Becka Lynn Photography}

I had every intention of sending out holiday cards this year like I always do, even got them printed out and everything, but as craziness hit full force at the end of the year I never sent them out and are still sitting on my desk. I know, I know….one of these day I will sit down, write up a little letter and finally get our cards in the mail….maybe.

I just can’t get over how quickly my girls are growing up. Its been a tradition to take a photo of all 3 of them together every Nov and add a new one to our wall. My living room has become a gallery and I have no idea what I am going to do when I run out of room.

Here are a few of my favorites from our family session. Aren’t my babies gorgeous?
